2012 Australian Championships Results

The Australian Championships have once again proven an outstanding showcase for Mulawa owned, bred and shown horses. Friday proved especially successful for GUILIANO, whose first foals dominated the Yearling classes, earning all three Australian Championship titles. ROMANCE MI earned herself back-to-back Australian Champiosnships with a win as Two & Three Year Old Filly Champion. Katharine Farrell & German-import LUXOR were dominant in the Dressage ring, winning both the Advanced Dressage test and the Prix St Georges. PARADA (with Cameron Bonney) was victorious as Australian Champion Mare. GUILIANO (with Andy Sellman) finished the year undefeated as Australian Champion Stallion and highest score of the show.

2013 CDI Sydney | Mulawa Success

Mulawa is pleased to report success at Australia's premier Dressage event - the CDI Sydney. The star for Team Mulawa was LUXOR 118, an 11 year old Hannoverian gelding imported from Germany. With rider Katharine Farrell aboard, LUXOR won the Horseland FEI Young Rider Individual Test (CD-Y). Brett Parberry was also hard at work at CDI Sydney with ABER HALLO 29, a nine-year old dark bay Westphalian stallion also imported from PSI. The promising pair finished a strong third in the Mulawa Performance FEI Intermediate I (CDI) and the Needs for Steeds FEI Prix St Georges competition, as well as the Zilco Intermediate Freestyle CDN.

2013 East Coast Championships

The East Coast Championships 2013 will go down in history as one of the most successful for Mulawa Team Halter & Performance. Right on track with a super successful season, Team Mulawa Performance once again dominated in the under saddle classes. Team Halter finished with their best East Coast results ever, with spectacular wins for KAVALLE MI, KLASSICAL DREAM MI, VALENTINO'S ANGEL MI & KONQUEST MI. The descendants of MAGNUM FORTY FOUR have been especially successful at this year's East Coast Championships, a fitting tribute to the lasting legacy of the recently deceased Mulawa chief sire.

2014 Australian Championships Results

The 2014 Australian National Championships are underway in Sydney! Day 1 returned excellent results for Mulawa-bred and owned horses, including Champion honours for FAMES PHANTOM MI in Arabian Gelding Under Saddle. Eight descendants of the late great MAGNUM FORTY FOUR earned National titles on Thursday. In the gelding competition on Thursday morning, Mulwa-bred horses won all three championships for new owners, including unanimous wins for both KRUSADE MI & ASTOR. Mulawa supersire KLASS achieved a clean sweep with his offspring - all five shown were named Australian Champion. Full brothers MAXIMILLIANO & MAXIMISE MI were named Champion & Reserve Champion Junior Colt, respectively and unprecedentedly.

2014 National Stud Show Success

Congratulations to Team Mulawa and the Mulawa community on the recent success at the National Stud Show in Sydney! We are incredibly proud of your achievements in all disciplines. Highlights include a clean sweep of the Yearling Championships by Mulawa-bred horses, full sibling championship wins for ALWAYS VALENTINE MI (Senior Mare) and VANGELIS MI (Yearling Colt), and Supreme Saddle Horse of the Show honours for FAMES PHANTOM MI.

2014-2015 Breeder of the Year

We are tremendously pleased to announce that for both 2014 & 2015, Mulawa Arabian Stud was honoured as Purebred Breeder of the Year at the Australian National Championships. These awards were announced at the Annual General Meeting of the Arabian Horse Society of Australia in late March. The late Mulawa chief sire MAGNUM FORTY FOUR was also honoured as Purebred Sire of the Year for a record fifth time. We are incredibly thankful to the the many breeders both in Australia and around the world whose decades of dedication to the Arabian horse have contributed to our success. We look forward with great expectation to a bright future for the Arabian horse here at home and all across the globe.

2017 Australasian Breeders Cup Success

Team Mulawa was once again on hand for the Australasian Breeders Cup held in conjunction with Sydney's Equifest. Exhibiting under the distinguished pair of international judges & breeders - Murray Popplewell of Rae-Dawn Arabians (Canada) & Rhodri Jones  (Wales) - as well under the experienced eye of well-known horseman & judge Doug Rutherford from Queensland, three Mulawa superstars were awarded top honours at the event.    Highest Scoring Horse of the Show was ROMANCE MI  with 334.5 points and a very impressive and internationally competitive 92.9%. A KLASS All His Own

The Australian National Championships once again proved extremely successful for the get of KLASS . With a universally acclaimed reputation for siring horses of the highest calibre, KLASS continues to rewrite the record books in Australia and raise the standard of excellence for the Arabian breed worldwide. Reigning Australian National Champions KLASSICAL PRESENCE MI - 2014 National Champion Junior Filly - and KLASSICAL DEVOTION MI - 2014 National Champion Yearling Filly - both returned to compete for Mulawa in the Junior Filly division. Each became the highest scoring filly in their respective age divisions, with KLASSICAL PRESENCE earning the highest score amongst all the female entrants at the show.

A Salute to ARIA IMPRESARIO | US Arabian Open Gold Champion Senior Stallion

For his final "Walk in the Park", ARIA IMPRESARIO was presented with the ultimate dignity and respect by Mr. Michael Byatt. Congratulations to this legendary stallion for his brilliant show career under the management of Aria & the Sloan Family. A special congratulations to his breeders - Gerald & Mercy Canda & Family, as well as Joey Canda - who had the vision and wisdom to breed four generations of his illustrious heritage.
