Unanimous National Champion | ALWAYS VALENTINE MI

In unprecedented fashion, ALWAYS VALENTINE MI has finished her Senior Mare season in Australia undefeated and a unanimous Australian National Champion! From September 2014 to March 2015, ALWAYS VALENTINE was shown just four times at the continent's leading events, each time emerging victorious.

This past season marked the debut of ALWAYS VALENTINE MI on home soil, as she had previously been campaigned as a Two Year Old in North America with Andrew Sellman and Argent Farms. Competing as an Australian yearling but a very young North American Two Year Old, ALWAYS VALENTINE proved extremely competitive amongst the best young fillies in the world. She won her class for Junior Two Year Old Fillies at Scottsdale as was named Reserve Junior Champion Filly overall. She repeated her Reserve Junior Championship in the Junior Filly Division for Two Year Olds at the Arabian Breeders World Cup in Las Vegas, eventually earning Regional Champion Two Year Old Filly honours at the Region 13 Championships in Indianapolis. She finished the season in North America by winning tht title of United States National Reserve Champion Two Year Old Filly in Tulsa.

Once she returned home, ALWAYS VALENTINE enjoyed a year of broodmare responsibilities, raising the promising young MARVEL MI (by ZT Marwteyn). With Cameron Bonney at the lead on her return to the show ring, ALWAYS VALENTINE made a splash at the NSW State Title Show by winning the Senior Mare Championship. This win was followed by successive victories as Senior Champion Mare at the prestigious East Coast Championships & National Stud Show. Her most important accolade was awarded by a panel of three judges in Victoria, where she scored the highest marks amongst the Senior Mare competitors and was chosen National Champion Mare by each of the international experts.

Incredibly, ALWAYS VALENTINE is the third unanimous Australian National Champion produced by her dam ALWAYS AN ANGEL, a former Victorian Classic Senior Champion Mare. Each of these memorable winners, all sired by the late great DA Valentino, is a seventh-generation Mulawa-bred champion from the dam family of M ANGELIQUE, one of the best sources of both beauty and athleticism in the Arabian breed. These superstar full sibilings are US & Canadian National Champion VALENTINO'S ANGEL MI and the undefeated VANGELIS MI, highest scoring horse at the 2015 Australian National Championships.

With her record-setting show career behind her, ALWAYS VALENTINE will now resume her broodmare duties in the Mulawa breeding program. Given her stellar combination of phenotypic appeal and genotypic reliability, we expect ALWAYS VALENTINE to have a long and lasting contribution to the future at Mulawa, not only for the eighth generation but for many generations yet to come...
