Despite the gloomy weather and steady drizzle on the first day of the 2011 National Stud Show at Horsley Park, the results for the Mulawa halter team were outstanding. With representatives in five of the six junior purebred championships, Team Mulawa was awarded four championship titles and two reserves. Mulawa Team Performance was equally successful in their debut. The ever talented team of MULAWA BRONZE WINGS & Daniella Dierks were victorious in the Jess Greenlagh Memorial Sash. Congratulations on a stellar start to the show season.
US National Success - *ALWAYS VALENTINE MIBookending an outstanding year of success in North America, the Mulawa-bred and owned *ALWAYS VALENTINE MI (DA Valentino x Always An Angel by SK Shakla Khan) was named 2011 US National Reserve Champion Two Year Old Filly in Tulsa on Tuesday night, October 25th. A sixth-generation Mulawa-bred female, *ALWAYS VALENTINE is a member of the beloved and highly accomplished M ANGELIQUE family. Shown just four times in 2011, *ALWAYS VALENTINE was rewarded with six major titles at four of the most prestigious shows on the continent. At her debut in February, she was named Scottsdale First Place Junior Two Year Old Filly, as well as overall Scottsdale Reserve Junior Champion Filly.
Big Win for Kate and LUXORA huge congratulations is in order for Katharine Farrell and recent PSI import LUXOR. Amongst incredibly strong competition, Kate and LUXOR were named Advanced Dressage Champion at the 2011 NSW Young Riders Championships. In addition to these individual achievements, their combined win and impressive scores contributed to Champion Team honours being earned by New South Wales.
Region 13 Show Results - Success with Andy SellmanArgent Farms has been busy proudly promoting the Mulawa Arabians in North America this season. The most recent success was achieved at the Region 13 Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana amongst a competitive field. Scottsdale Reserve Junior Champion Filly & Arabian Breeders World Cup Top Ten Supreme Junior Champion Filly ALWAYS VALENTINE MI (DA Valentino x Always An Angel by SF Shakla Khan) once again emerged victorious as Region 13 Champion Two Year Old Filly. Scottsdale International Reserve Champion Two Year Old Colt & Arabian Breeders World Cup Top Ten Supreme Junior Champion Colt MAXIUM (Magnum Forty Four x Sahtarah by Sahjat) earned the Reserve Championship in the competition for Two Year Old Colts at Region 13.
Dressage with the Stars - Champion of ChampionsExciting News from Werribee! At the 9th Annual Dressage & Jumping with the Stars event in Victoria on March 24th-26th, two qualified Mulawa owned Arabian warmbloods achieved siginificant success. Daniella Dierks was back in the irons for the Champion of Champions competition on Saturday evening, which was decided from the winners of the Four, Five & Six Year Old Young Dressage Horse Champions. The ultimate decision of respected international expert and multi-World Champion Dr. Ulf Moeller fell upon REVELWOOD DONATELLO as the Best Young Dressage Horse in Australia for 2011.
Australian Championships 2011 - Incredible ResultsThe 2011 Australian Championships proved to be the most successful showcase for Mulawa-bred, owned and managed horses in the long competitive history of the stud. When the last sash was hung on Sunday afternoon, the grand total for Team Mulawa was 21 Australian Champions, 14 Australian Reserve Champions & 8 Top Tens. We are also pleased to announce that Mulawa Arabian Stud was honoured with Australian Breeder of the Year by the AHSA for the third successive year. Thank you and congratulations to the many clients and members of the Mulawa Community who helped make 2010-2011 our most successful show season to date.
