Dressage with the Stars - Champion of Champions
Exciting News from Werribee! At the 9th Annual Dressage & Jumping with the Stars event in Victoria on March 24th-26th, two qualified Mulawa owned Arabian warmbloods achieved siginificant success.
From amongst over 50 entries, the lovely Arabian Warmblood SUGARLOAF SIRHARA (Sir Donnerhall x Belcam Cynara) finished a strong second in the class for the best young Four Year Old Dressage horses in the country. In the final on Saturday afternoon, SIRHARA received an excellent 9.0 for Ridability from former World Champion & Olympic Gold Medalist Ingrid Klimke from Germany.
The highlight of the day came later in the afternoon when REVELWOOD DONATELLO (Don Ramiro x Morning Air) won the class for Six Year Old Australian Young Dressage Horses. Ingrid was so impressed with the Ridability of this young gelding, she awarded him a perfect 10 in that category.
Daniella Dierks was back in the irons for the Champion of Champions competition on Saturday evening, which was decided from the winners of the Four, Five & Six Year Old Young Dressage Horse Champions. The ultimate decision of respected international expert and multi-World Champion Dr. Ulf Moeller fell upon REVELWOOD DONATELLO as the Best Young Dressage Horse in Australia for 2011. This was the first time in the history of the show that an Australian-bred entry has claimed top honours, a distinction for which DONATELLO earned the award for Best Australian-bred horse of the show. It is also the most successful achievement for aspiring world-class Dressage rider Daniella Dierks, who has trained REVELWOOD DONATELLO to all his success in the last 18 months.
We are extremely proud of these extraordinary achievements for our young Dressage & Sport Horse Team. Congratulations to Revelwood Stud on your breeding success and to Daniella Dierks for preparing and presenting these young athletes with expertise and excellence.
