The first Sunday Open Barn of 2020 is scheduled for 05 April, officially welcoming the new decade ahead! Following up on the tremendous success of the December Open Barn, these Sunday events will now include an educational segment. The successive educational segment will feature hands-on demonstrations with Team Mulawa covering the topic of “ The Why, When, What & How of Masterful Show Clipping ”. Due to the significant rainfall the farm has received in the past 24 hours and the significant rainfall forecast for the next several days, the decision has been reluctantly made to postpone the Mulawa Open Barn scheduled for Sunday 09 February. Given the all too recent threat of the bushfires surrounding the Sydney area and all of coastal NSW, this abundant rain is a welcome reprieve to the many months of drought, heat and fire risk. Given the busy schedule prior to the Australian National Championship in early March, we anticipate rescheduling this Open Barn, and the educational seminar covering the topic of “ The Why, When, What & How of Masterful Show Clipping” for sometime later in March or early April.

Well over 150 guests from QLD, VIC & NSW joined us for the first of the new format Open Barn events, featuring an educational component prior to the presentation of horses. Thank you to everyone for the inspiring feedback and your suggestions for future educational seminar topics. VANGELIS MI  has returned to form and was electric in New York City's Central Park at the US Arabian Open. Against the most formiddable competition and in the largest class of the evening, VANGELIS MI was crowned Gold Champion Junior Colt with Andrew Sellman at the lead for Team Times! Just one year ago at the inaugural US Open, full sister VALENTINO'S ANGEL MI was crowned the 2015 US Arabian Open Gold Champion Senior Mare for Al Mohamadia Stud (Saudi Arabia). The brightest light in the big city at the US Arabian Open was undoubtedly  KAVALLE MI ! In an electrifying presentation of confident machismo, magnetic charisma, captivating presence and aristocratic elegance, KAVALLE MI strutted his way to the Silver Senior Stallion Championship title with Andrew Sellman for Joanne & Ram Gunabalan of JR's Dream Arabians. A special thank you to Andrew Sellman & Team Argent Farms for showcasing KAVALLE MI at his absolute best and demonstrating to the NYC crowd the inherent magnificence of the Arabian breed. We could have not asked for more from this extraordinary young stallion. We are confident that best is yet to come for KAVALLE MI and the Gunabalan Family!
