2013 CDI Sydney | Mulawa Success

Mulawa is pleased to report success at Australia's premier Dressage event - the CDI Sydney. The star for Team Mulawa was LUXOR 118, an 11 year old Hannoverian gelding imported from Germany. With rider Katharine Farrell aboard, LUXOR won the Horseland FEI Young Rider Individual Test (CD-Y). Brett Parberry was also hard at work at CDI Sydney with ABER HALLO 29, a nine-year old dark bay Westphalian stallion also imported from PSI. The promising pair finished a strong third in the Mulawa Performance FEI Intermediate I (CDI) and the Needs for Steeds FEI Prix St Georges competition, as well as the Zilco Intermediate Freestyle CDN.

LUXOR is an impressive moving athletic 17hh gelding son of Londonderry, a renowned sire who had great success at the German Riding Championships, winning the Performance test in 1999 at Verden. He went on to achieve the highest results at the Federal Championships for German riding horses in Warendorf. Dressage with the Stars - Successive Success

For the second year in a row, Team Mulawa Performance was victorious at Dressage with the Stars, the 10th annual event in Werribee, Victoria. In the toughest competition for young Dressage horses on the continent, Arabian Warmblood mare SUGARLOAF SIRHARA was named Champion Five Year Old with an excellent score of 9.0 for Ridability from UK-based and South African born Emile Faurie. SIRARA was also the highest scoring Dressage horse of the show with an excellent score of 82.4%. On Saturday evening competing against both the champion four and six year olds from their respective divisions, SIRHARA was named Australian Young Dressage Horse Champion of Champions to the thundering approval of the crowd.
