Victorian Classic Success
Congratulations are in order for the group of Mulawa-bred horses who recently competed at the Victorian Classic at Werribee Park. Under Shannon Armstrong of the USA, three Mulawa-bred get sired by Australian Champion GUILIANO were named Supreme Champions in each of the purebred divisions, resulting in a clean sweep for sire and breeder.
Full brothers MAXIMILLIANO & MAXIMISE MI (out of MUSTANG'S MAGNUM by MAGNUM FORTY FOUR) claimed Championship titles in each of their new divisions: MAXIMILLIANO in Senior Stallions and MAXIMISE MI in Junior Geldings. Each went on to defeat the remaining competition by winning top honours in the Stallion and Gelding Supreme Championships, respectively. Kahlie Scibberas is the happy new owner of MAXIMISE MI, whereas MAXIMILLIANO is proudly owned by Kay & Phil Edward of Shane Edward Arabians, who are also responsible for creating Mulawa's leading Aristocrat Dam - MUSTANG'S MAGNUM.
Another recent sale from Mulawa was Senior Champion Mare MI APHRODITE (out of AUDACIA by PARKVIEW AUDACIOUS). Competing proudly under the banner of Christopher Cook & Renee Edwards, MI APHRODITE performed at her absolute best to be named Supreme Champion Female amongst incredibly strong competition. Her win adds further acclaim to the record of her dam AUDACIA, another resident Aristocrat Dam at Mulawa with four champion produce to her credit.
The final Mulawa-bred entry of the day was KAVALIER MI, a yearling son of living legend Marwan Al Shaqab and Mulawa's beloved KARESS. In his show debut, KAVALIER won the title of Champion Yearling Colt in grand style, impressing the judge and local crowd with his undeniable quality, confidence and completeness. A 3/4 brother to Australian, East Coast & Scottsdale Champion KAVALLE MI, KAVALIER elevated his dam KARESS to Aristocrat Dam status on the day, giving her four champion sons at home and abroad.
