TRUST MI | A Journey of Success
Congratulations to TRUST MI on achieving the title of Australian National Reserve Champion Junior Colt! With an impressive score of 333.5, TRUST was awarded the third highest score of the entire show, earning two 19's and a 19.5 for Type, straight 19's for Head, two 19.5's for Movement, two 17's for Feet & Legs, and an incredible 19.5 for Body & Topline. Canadian Judge Lewis McKim chose TRUST for his Champion, giving TRUST a total of 27 points in the comparative championship, a mere two points behinds the eventual National Champion, Mulawa stablemate ADVANTAGE MI.
TRUST is proudly owned by Tegan Harris & Aaron Schmidt of South Australia. Purchased as a yearling at the Mulawa Open Day in 2012, TRUST has been a faithful campaigner for the young couple all across Australia. His first win was at the National Stud Show in November of 2012, earning the Reserve Champion Yearling Colt title behind stablemate MAXIMISE MI. TRUST then travelled to South Australia to earn the coveted State Supreme Champion Junior Exhibit in 2013. Returning to NSW with Greg Andrews, TRUST earned his first East Coast title as Reserve Champion Two Year Old Colt, embarking on his most successful year in the show ring.
Following the East Coast Championships, TRUST returned to Mulawa to be campaigned once again with Cameron Bonney at the lead. On the first two outings together, TRUST & Cameron were not only named Junior Champion Colt on both occasions, but Supreme Champion Stallion at the Queensland Challenge and Supreme Champion Junior Exhibit at the NSW State Titles. TRUST returned to both the National Stud Show in late 2014 and the East Coast Championships in early 2015 to earn a second Reserve Championship title at each show as Junior Colt and Junior Stallion, respectively. In addition to his most important win as Australian Reserve Champion Junior Colt in Werribee, VIC, TRUST also earned the Australian National Reserve Champion Junior Male Shown by a Non-Pro title with a very happy Aaron Schmidt.
TRUST MI was one of the last sons of MAGNUM FORTY FOUR bred at Mulawa. Very much a look-alike of his late great sire, TRUST possesses the smooth balanced build, the great length of shape of neck, the aristocratic quality and refinement, and the charismatic show attitude as well as the kind, intelligent, willing, and highly trainable temperament for which the "44" get are beloved all across Australia. TRUST's dam, DM MARCEDES TRUE LOVE, is a recent addition to Mulawa, having blessed the breeding program with three champion sons - KRUSADE MI, ALYIANCE MI & TRUST - as well as a gorgeous 2014 filly by ALLEGIANCE MI. The TRUE LOVE foals have all proven to be natural show horses, with exuberant attitudes, upright carriage, long-legged scopey frames, wonderul length of rein, harmonious builds and effortless athleticism. Her genetic heritage of MARWAN AL SHAQAB, ALI JAMAAL, PADRONS PSYCHE, KHEMOSABI & several crosses to the legendary BASK make all of the TRUE LOVE progeny invaluable breeding horses.
In addition to winning with TRUST at the Australian National Championships, Tegan & Aaron were also very successful with BRANDO MI as National Reserve Champion Junior Gelding. Big, bold and ultra-dynamic on the move, BRANDO has been incredibly successful all season long as a Junior Gelding, earning the Championship titles at both the National Stud Show and the East Coast Championships. Tegan & Aaron are also the proud owners of AJUSTINE MI, another dynamic show stopper who has dominated the competition in South Australia.
It has been a true delight having TRUST, as well as Tegan & Aaron, as an essential part of Team Mulawa this past season. We wish both TRUST & BRANDO continued success in South Australia. May they both continue to bring you joy and happiness for many more years to come!
