Gold Champion Success | Australasian Breeders Cup
Congratulations to Team Mulawa on Gold Champion success at the Australasian Breeders Cup in November. Held in conjunction with the inaugural Equine Lifestyle Event in Clarendon, NSW, the fifth edition of the Australasian Breeders Cup was the biggest and most successful to date.
With entries forward in all four breeding divisons - Junior Fillies, Junior Colts, Senior Mares & Senior Stallions - Team Mulawa swept the Gold Champion titles, by achieving the high scores from a distinguished panel of international judges. With an impressive score of 331.5, the Gold Champion Junior Filly title was awarded to VENECIA MI in her show ring debut. A young daughter of Mulawa supersire ALLEGIANCE MI, VENECIA is a full sister to the reigning Australian National Champion Junior Colt ADVANTAGE MI.
The Senior titles were awarded to VALENCIA MI - Gold Champion Mare - and MAGNETIC MI - Gold Champion Stallion. VALENCIA MI is a daughter of the late great DA VALENTINO, out of Australian Aristocrat Dam AUDACIA, dam of six champions and a beloved member of the KARMAA Family.
The brightest star of the day once again was VANGELIS MI, named Gold Champion Junior Colt with the highest score of the show at 332. Still undefeated and the high scorer at the last two events, VANGELIS is the reigning Australian National & East Coast Champion Yearling Colt. The next stop for "The Golden One" is Scottsdale 2016 with Andrew Sellman...
