A Lifetime of TRUST | TRUST MI ~ 2011-2018

It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the premature loss of TRUST MI. Injured in the paddock over the weekend, TRUST was unable to be saved.

TRUST has been lovingly owned & stewarded by Tegan Harris & Aaron Schmidt since 2012. A NSW State Titles & Queensland Challenge Supreme Champion, as well as an Australian National, East Coast, National Stud Show & Sydney Royal Reserve Champion while in training with Team Mulawa, TRUST went on to be an indomitable force in the show ring in South Australia both in hand and under saddle. Named Supreme Champion Led & Ridden Arabian at the SA State Championships in 2017, TRUST was most recently victorious once again amongst the entire Arabian-related competition at the Royal Adelaide Autumn Breeds Show as Champion Ridden Arabian, Champion Senior Led Arabian and Supreme Champion Led Arabian Exhibit, as well as Supreme Champion Ridden Arabian/Arabian Derivative Exhibit against all AHSA-registered entries.

Always a superlative ambassador for the Arabian breed in and out of the show ring, TRUST will forever be remembered as one of the best sons of the late great MAGNUM FORTY FOUR, a stallion whose descendants continue to rewrite the record books and redefine excellence in the breed as all-around beautiful, intelligent and capably versatile athletes. Maternally, TRUST was the first foal for DM MARCEDES TRUE LOVE, an inspiring promise of great things to come for then one of the newest, and now one of the most successful, Mulawa dam families.

Just entering the prime of his life, TRUST’s reassuring presence and inherent exuberance for life will be immensely missed. A special thank you to Esther Cruckshank, who loved TRUST as her own, the person responsible for carefully guiding his career under saddle from breaking in until his departure to NSW three weeks ago. An overwehleming debt of gratitude is owed to Tegan & Aaron for stewarding TRUST with respect, grace & dignity and for giving him such a loving home. We will forever be grateful for the ‘TRUST’ you placed in this unforgettable horse.
