A KLASS All His Own
The Australian National Championships once again proved extremely successful for the get of KLASS. With a universally acclaimed reputation for siring horses of the highest calibre, KLASS continues to rewrite the record books in Australia and raise the standard of excellence for the Arabian breed worldwide.
Reigning Australian National Champions KLASSICAL PRESENCE MI - 2014 National Champion Junior Filly - and KLASSICAL DEVOTION MI - 2014 National Champion Yearling Filly - both returned to compete for Mulawa in the Junior Filly division. Each became the highest scoring filly in their respective age divisions, with KLASSICAL PRESENCE earning the highest score amongst all the female entrants at the show. KLASSICAL PRESENCE went on to be named Australian National Junior Champion Filly for the second successive year, making her the first horse in Australian history to win back-to-back National Championships in the same halter division. KLASSICAL DEVOTION was awarded the Australian National Reserve Championship behind her close-relative and stablemate. This double success of the KLASS daughters at the Australian National Championships follows the 2014 success of the KLASS daughters at the same event, when KLASSICAL DEVOTION MI & KLASSICAL PRESENCE MI, along with KLASSICAL DREAM MI, were named National Champion in each of the female divisions: Yearling Filly, Junior Filly & Senior Mare, respectively.
As a twice Australian National Champion, KLASSICAL PRESENCE MI follows in the footsteps of her celebrated dam PARADA, a twice Australian National Champion & East Coast Champion, and one of Australia's most beloved Arabian mares. Since retiring from the show ring after being named Australian National Senior Champion in 2012, PARADA has become an invaluable member of the Mulawa broodmare band, earning Aristocrat status as the dam of five champion produce. PARADA earned further acclaim at the 2015 National Championships as the dam of not only one, but two Australian National Champions, as PRESENCE's full brother KANE MI was named Australian National Champion Yearling Gelding for owner Samantha Fallick.
As a show horse, KLASS rewrote the record books as the first four-time undefeated East Coast Champion and the first stallion to win three successive Australian National Championships in separate divsions, as National Champion Senior Stallion (2009), National Champion Ridden Arabian Stallion (2010) & National Champion Working Stock Horse (2011). As a sire, KLASS can claim one of the highest percentages of champion progeny in the breed worldwide, with winners at all of Australia's most prestigious events in-hand and under saddle, as well as get with Championship accolades earned at elite-level events on four continents.
As the best son of the late "Queen of Mulawa" KARMAA and Australian & Brazilian National Champion TS AL MALIK, KLASS continues to inspire all of us at Mulawa with vision, hope and passion for the bright future ahead for the Arabian horse.
