2017 Australasian Breeders Cup Success
Team Mulawa was once again on hand for the Australasian Breeders Cup held in conjunction with Sydney's Equifest. Exhibiting under the distinguished pair of international judges & breeders - Murray Popplewell of Rae-Dawn Arabians (Canada) & Rhodri Jones (Wales) - as well under the experienced eye of well-known horseman & judge Doug Rutherford from Queensland, three Mulawa superstars were awarded top honours at the event.
Highest Scoring Horse of the Show was ROMANCE MI with 334.5 points and a very impressive and internationally competitive 92.9%. Back in style from a year off from the spotlight, ROMANCE was awarded the title of Gold Champion Senior Mare.
Highest Scoring Junior Horse of the Show was VENECIA MI, fresh off her unanimous win as Australian National Gold Champion Junior Filly two weeks ago. Scoring just half a point behind ROMANCE with 334 points, VENECIA was in top form to score a 92.8% and earn the title of Gold Champion Junior Mare.
The reigning Australian National Gold Champion Junior Gelding PARLANCE MI was also in attendance. Picking up another Gold Championship in just two weeks time, PARLANCE easily won the Junior Gelding title at the Breeders Cup for his extraordinarily proud owner Brittany Jessup.
Congratulations to Cameron Bonney for presenting the horses with dignity and respect, and to the entire Team at Mulawa Halter - Mariusz Lipa, Ellen Suann, Annette Lowe & Paul Stockman - for preparing the horses with diligence and care.
