2012-2013 Foaling Season at Mulawa

The 2012-2013 foaling season is well underway with several outstanding foals already on the ground. Since August, each month has been full of promising colts and fillies that have both met and exceeded expectations on every level.

The first foals of young Mulawa chief sire KONFIDENCE MI are thus far proving their sire a worthy successor to KLASS. Tall, correct and well balanced with impressive scope and athleticism, the KONFIDENCE foals all typify the excellence of their sire. A gorgeous grey filly out of LOVE POTION M and a handsome scopey grey colt out of PRINCIPESSA CCA are amongst the very best.

KLASS continues to defy the odds by siring world-class foals with uncommon consistency. MULAWA KIARA produced another captivating grey filly in November, a full sister to 2011's spectacular KLASSIC ELEGANCE MI. FAMES HARMONY produced her first colt after giving six fillies in a row. By KLASS, this exceptional colt is the most exotic of any son sired by KLASS thus far. He was a star for the Al Shaqab visit in late December, making all in attendance very happy, as his full sister KLASSIC HARMONY MI was purchased by Al Shaqab in 2010.

FAMES HARMONY was also the dam of two impressive fillies via embryo transfer this year prior to carrying her extraordinary KLASS colt. Both are chestnut: the eldest is sired by the KLASS son KONFIDENCE MI, while the younger is sired by GUILIANO and full sister to reigning Australian Champion Yearling Filly MI HARMONY.

While all of the DA VALENTINO daughters are proving themselves excellent broodmares, the best foal from amongst his daughters is thus far out of National Stud Show Junior Champion MI ASPIRING VALENTINO. By GUILIANO, this exotic, well-constructed dynamic bay colt looks to be the best colt sired by reigning Australian & East Coast Champion GUILIANO born at Mulawa to date.

Former East Coast Champion AUDACIA has continued her outstanding production with an exotic grey filly by international Champion Maker WH JUSTICE. The eldest of the AUDACIA daughters, VALENCIA MI, gave a handsome colt by KONFIDENCE MI for her first foal. AUDACIA's full sister, AURA MI, also produced a beautiful grey filly on her first effort by MAGNUM FORTY FOUR.

The MAGNUM FORTY FOUR x AUDACIA combination has proven to be a superlative addition to the Mulawa breeding program in the form of ALLEGIANCE MI. His second set of foals has proven him a sire of exceptional type and refinement. The young mares DM MARCEDES TRUE LOVE and MI VALENTINE have both produced very promising colts, while the first of the ALLEGIANCE fillies are nothing short of spectacular. Scottsdale Champion LLC BRIANA produced her first filly by ALLEGIANCE - an extremely showy foal with the undeniable presence of both her sire and her dam, as well as her US National Champion grandparents - RD FABREANNA and PYRO THYME SA. The superstar of the foal crop thus far is the first filly out of twice National Stud Show Champion Mare MAE MARIE. A full sister to KLASS and one of the most beloved of the Mulawa mares, MAE has out-produced herself with an ultra-exotic, uber-feminine chestnut filly, who represents the very best of her double-KARMAA heritage.
