NSW State Titles Success
Mulawa is happy to report successful results from the New South Wales State Titles Show on Sunday 7th September. With winners in four classes for junior fillies, colts & geldings, Mulawa is pleased to report a clean sweep in the Junior Championships.
The KLASS gelding KRUSADE won both the Two Year Old Gelding class as well the Junior Gelding Championship. His dam, the imported MARWAN AL SHAQAB daughter DM MARCEDES TRUE LOVE, has been a stellar young producer for the Mulawa program with National Stud Show TRUST MI (MAGNUM FORTY FOUR) also to her credit. As the 10th offspring of KLASS to be shown (of only a total of 19 get sired to date), KRUSADE continues his sire's perfect record of show ring success, with championship titles won by every one of the KLASS sons and daughters shown to date, including last year's NSW State Titles Champion Junior Gelding MYSTERE MI.
The GUILIANO son KATALYST MI added to his sire's winning streak at State Titles by capturing the class win for three year old stallions as well as the Junior Stallion Championship. His success adds to the further accolades of the KARMAA family, especially that of his dam MULAWA KARA MIA MI, one of Mulawa's most important broodmatrons. GUILIANO was the sire of last year's NSW State Titles winners MI APHRODITE (Junior Champion Mare) and SANTIAGO MI (Reserve Junior Champion Stallion).
Another classic-style Mulawa double sweep occurred in the Junior Mare Championship. The winner of the Yearling Filly class, BE MI LITE, was named Reserve Junior Champion behind the winner of the Two Year Old Mare class & Junior Champion, ROMANTIC MI. BE MI LITE is a daughter of the superstar show mare - Australian, East Coast & National Stud Show Champion MULAWA BEHOLD - and of emerging super sire ALLEGIANCE MI, a former National Stud Show champion himself and the successor to his late great sire MAGNUM FORTY FOUR. ROMANTIC MI is yet another in a long line of outstanding daughters of MAGNUM FORTY FOUR. Out of the imported MARWAN AL SHAQAB daughter RIMARAA, ROMANTIC is full sister to two-time Australian Champion ROMANCE MI.
As a breeder, it is always incredibly rewarding to celebrate the success of the most important foundation families with those individuals recently imported to enhance the program with new blood. The incomparable influence of KARMAA continues to profoundly dominate the show scene, both through her invaluable daughters as well as the male descendants of her dynasty, KLASS & ALLEGIANCE. The ever pervasive quality of the AMURATH BEGUILE family is still present through her female descendants, with MULAWA BEHOLD proving her importance as a broodmatron with her most recent daughters. TS AL MALIK, MAGNUM FORTY FOUR & GLF APOLLO continue to provide a strong foundation upon which the next generation of excellence is built, while the increasingly important influence of international icon MARWAN AL SHAQAB has proven essential to defining the modern Mulawa Arabian.
